That arena in Croatia is amazing.....wish I could attend the games.....the atmosphere blows away anything the NHL could do for a winter classic.

Should have just kept the Phantoms, Spectrum and had them play in Philly.

In my opinion it was time for the spectrum to go. But yes, the Phantoms should have definitely stayed in Philly, or at least close to it.

As someone who has never been able to afford to go to many Flyers games I found myself at a lot of Phantoms games.

Can someone please explain how Couturier would be eligible to play in the AHL? I thought the player had to be 20 years old if he came from Juniors.

He'll be 20 before Dec. 31 of this calendar year (that's the cut-off).

anyone know if the xfinity live center (the reason they tore down the spectrum) shows the phantoms games?

Bill,

You probably have this planned for a blog but if you could post an update in the coming weeks on where flyers players will be playing come lockout and where we might be able to view the games that would be great.

Thanks

Would that rule even still apply after the CBA expires?

It's an AHL rule I believe. Which has nothing to do with the NHL CBA.

Ah, didn't know that. I was hoping the Isles would be able to get Strome and Reinhart in the AHL if these negotiations drag on for much longer. So much for silver linings in the lockout!

It's actually part of the now-expired NHL-CHL agreement. However, the AHL has said it would continue to operate under that rule until a new NHL-CHL agreement is reached.

Ahhhh... an off season that keeps on giving. I can't wait for the next post on this thread so I'm going to meander over to another site to make sure there are still people alive in this world.
